Careers at Evolution.

We go the extra mile. We take pride in the work we do and the difference we make. We care about our colleagues and our clients. So it matters that the people who work with us share an Evolution Attitude.

We’re on a journey to make our customers the most satisfied in the industry. That can’t happen by accident. It needs everyone who works with us to give their all, and that requires the right attitude. We call it the Evolution Attitude.

That’s what matters most to us when looking for people to join the team. Of course, you may need certain skills to apply for some roles with us (as a qualified joiner, electrician or plasterer, for example). But beyond those baseline skills, it’s attitude that matters most to every apprentice, office worker and tradesperson we employ.

With an Evolution Attitude, you won’t find just a job here, you’ll discover a career, training, development and opportunity.

You have a ‘can do’ mentality and you go the extra mile
You’re a team player and you show it by looking for ways to help your colleagues
You’re a good problem solver, you think for yourself and take responsibility for your actions
You take pride in your work
You care about our clients

Careers, evolved

Meet some of the people building their career with Evolution.

Dan Ogden, Apprentice Quantity Surveyor

Initially, Dan’s involvement with Evolution was only supposed to last 12 weeks as part of a local authority work placement. But as his placement progressed it became clear that, in addition to an attitude that made him the perfect fit, Dan had lots of potential. He became a full time member of the team and is now in year two of a five-year quantity surveying apprenticeship, splitting his working between university and Evolution.
"I feel very lucky to have had that initial work placement with Evolution,” says Dan. “That 12 weeks was a sort of launchpad for my career. Evolution actively looks for ways to develop you and help you achieve your potential, and now I’m developing skills and studying something I really enjoy.”

Leon Iddon, Site Manager

Leon joined Evolution as a site joiner but it quickly became apparent that he had the right attitude to progress to a managerial role. Over the past few years Leon has successfully tackled all the courses we’ve put his way, from site management to first aid to lean processes. Just three years after joining Evolution, he’s now one of our site managers, overseeing teams of 10-15 people.
“Sometimes you need someone else to spot potential in you,” says Leon. “That’s what Evolution has done for me and they’ve backed that up with training and skills to help me develop. Now as a site manager I’m looking for ways to pay that forward and develop the people in my teams.”
